On January 31 in Boston, the Spring 2014 WiAA (Women in the Academy & Arts) Syllabi and Pedagogy Working Group held its inaugural meeting.
This October, two SCAHGrad WiAA (Women in the Academy & Arts) working groups will begin their weekly meetings in the Boston area: Feminism and the Art History Course, and Feminist Pedagogy. Sign up by October 7 by e-mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As part of our Women, Gender, & Academia initiative, SCAHGrad has begun to form working groups in the Boston area around specific areas of inquiry on which to conduct research and take action. Descriptions of the first six working groups are now available.
In Spring 2013, Boston-area members of the Graduate Student Advocacy Committee kicked off a project to research, discuss, and take action on issues of gender in our profession.
We are working on a syllabi sharing project to allow the open exchange of teaching resources related to post-1945 art and theory.
As of Spring 2013, we have active reading groups in Boston and Washington, DC.
