Joseph Beuys: Parallel Processes and New Alchemy

Two related exhibitions in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, concern Joseph Beuys’s career and legacy.

At the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf, “Joseph Beuys. Parallel Processes” has a catalog from Schirmer/Mosel with contributions from Marion Ackermann, Gottfried Boehm, Wilfried Kuehn, Isabelle Malz, Maja Naef, Johannes Stüttgen and Marina Abramovic (Amazon).

At the LWL-Landesmuseum für Kunst und Kulturgeschichte in Münster, “New Alchemy. Contemporary Art After Beuys” has work from Karla Black, Katinka Bock, Björn Braun, Nina Canell, Aleana Egan, Myriam Holme, Sergej Jensen, Lone Haugaard Madsen, Lorenzo Pompa, Matthew Ronay, and Michael Stumpf. The catalog, from Wienand, has text by Melanie Bono, Barbara Gronau, and Verena Kuni.
