Olafur Eliasson: Innen Stadt Aussen

Olafur Eliasson’s current exhibition, Innen Stadt Aussen, at the Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin, has received significant attention in the press. The catalog is edited by Daniel Birnbaum and published by Walther König (DAP).

See interviews with the Frankfurter Allgemeine and Spiegel Online, and reviews by Niklas Maak (FAZ), Nicola Kuhn (Tagesspiegel), Harry Nutt (FR), Brigitte Werneburg (TAZ), Silke Bartlick (Deutsche Welle), Catherine Hickley (Bloomberg), Deborah Cole (AFP), and J. S. Marcus (WSJ).

In the FAZ interview, Eliasson, a Berlin resident since 1994, remarks that the city is difficult for those artists who are neither very young nor already fully established, and also mentions his interest in the light of northern cities where sunset lasts for two hours (vs. eight minutes in, for example, Palermo).
