The Society of Contemporary Art Historians seeks nominations and self-nominations for the executive board, to serve for the term 2012-2015. The open positions are Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer. These officers, together with the Society’s President, direct all of SCAH’s activities–most importantly, planning its annual panel at the College Art Association conference, directing its web site of relevant news and events, and overseeing the activity of its three committees: junior-faculty advocacy, graduate-student advocacy, and news and information. According to the group’s charter, the Vice-President assumes the presidency at the end of the three year term. Serving as president for 2012-15 is Alexander Dumbadze of George Washington University.
Those making a nomination should include the candidate’s name and affiliation and a paragraph explaining the candidate’s fitness to the position. Please send nominations to firstname.lastname@example.org by January 30, 2012, and direct any questions to us here, too.
