University of Southern California: two open-rank positions

Two searches at USC: one in modern art and visual culture, and one in contemporary art and visual culture.

Modern Art and Visual Culture (1850-1945) and Contemporary Art and Visual Culture (Post-1945).

We invite applications for two open-rank positions, tenure-track or tenured (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Art History). Ability to examine art and visual culture from new perspectives, in their global dimensions and across a range of media is desirable. The successful candidates will have a track record of leadership or the potential for leadership in their field and will be expected to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses, including courses in the University’s general education program.

Applicants at the Assistant Professor level should submit a cover letter, CV, writing sample, and three letters of recommendation.  Applicants at the tenured Associate or Full Professor level should submit a cover letter, a CV, and the names of at least three referees. All candidates are required to have a PhD at the time of appointment.
